Apple Calendar

Apple Calendar integration allows you to synchronise your events between FlyMeet AI and Apple Calendar in real time.

FlyMeet AI integration with Apple Calendar

Once the integration is enabled, events from FlyMeet AI will be automatically added to Apple Calendar, and vice versa - events created or modified in Apple Calendar (in the calendar named FlyMeet) will be reflected in FlyMeet AI app.

Also, integration with Apple Calendar allows your events to be taken into account when calculating free time slots in FlyMeet AI. Follow the detailed instructions below to set up the integration on your iOS and macOS devices.

Step 1: Launch FlyMeet AI Mini App

  1. Start a chat with @flymeetbot in Telegram;

  2. Click on the FlyMeet launch button located in the bottom left corner of the chat;

  3. Once the app has loaded, go to Settings;

  4. Find and select the ‘Apple Calendar Integration’ section.

Step 2: Create a ‘FlyMeet’ calendar in Apple Calendar

For the integration to work correctly, you need to create a separate calendar named ‘FlyMeet’ in your Apple Calendar app;

Note: The name of the calendar must be strictly ‘FlyMeet’ for proper synchronisation.

  1. Open the Calendar app on your device;

  2. Tap the ‘Calendars’ tab at the bottom of the screen;

  3. Scroll down the list and tap ‘Add Calendar’;

  4. Enter a calendar name: ‘FlyMeet’;

  5. Select the desired colour for the calendar (optional);

  6. Tap ‘Done’ in the upper right corner.

  1. Open the Calendar app on your Mac;

  2. In the menu on the left, click the ‘+’ button next to ‘My Calendars’;

  3. Select ‘New Calendar';

  4. Enter a name for the calendar: ‘FlyMeet’;

  5. Press ‘Enter’ to save.

Step 3: Generate the application password for your Apple ID

For secure integration, you must use the app password generated for your Apple ID.

Enable two-factor authentication

Note: If you already have two-factor authentication enabled, go to Creating an application password.

  • Open Settings on your device;

  • Tap your name at the top of the screen;

  • Go to the ‘Password and Security’ section;

  • Tap ‘Enable two-factor authentication’;

  • Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the setup.

  • Open ‘System Preferences’ on your Mac;

  • Click on ‘Apple ID’;

  • Select ‘Password & Security’ from the side menu;

  • Click ‘Enable two-factor authentication’;

  • Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the setup.

Creating an application password

  • Go to the Apple Account management page;

  • Sign in using your Apple ID (email address) and password;

  • Under ‘Security’, find ‘App Passwords’.

  • Click ‘Create Password...’;

  • Enter a label for the password (for example, ‘FlyMeet AI’) and click ‘Create’. Enter your Apple Account password if necessary;

  • Save the generated password - you'll need it to set up the integration.

Note: The application password is only displayed once. Make sure you copy and save it in a safe place.

Step 4: Set up your FlyMeet AI integration

  1. Go back to the FlyMeet AI Mini App in Telegram;

  2. In the ‘Apple Calendar Integration’ section, enter:

    • Login: your Apple ID (email address);

    • Password: the app's generated password.

  3. Tap ‘Connect’ or ‘Save’ to complete the integration setup.

Note: Make sure you enter your app password correctly, not your main Apple ID password.

Step 5: Select calendars for synchronisation

In order for FlyMeet AI to take into account events in your calendars when calculating free slots you need to specify which calendars to use.

By default, once the integration is enabled, all available calendars in your iCloud account are activated.

After successfully connecting the integration:

  1. Go to the ‘Select Calendars’ section in the integration settings;

  2. You will see a list of available calendars from your Apple Calendar;

  3. Tick the calendars you want to synchronise with FlyMeet AI;

  4. Click ‘Save’ to apply the settings.

Tip: it is recommended that you only choose calendars that actually affect your schedule to ensure that you are accurately calculating available time.

Step 6: Two-way event synchronisation

FlyMeet AI integration with Apple Calendar provides two-way synchronisation of your events. This means that all changes in events will be automatically reflected in both FlyMeet AI and Apple Calendar.

How it works

  • Events from FlyMeet AI are automatically added to your Apple Calendar in a calendar named ‘FlyMeet’;

  • Events created or modified in Apple Calendar (in the ‘FlyMeet’ calendar) are synchronised with FlyMeet AI;

  • Changes to events (date, time, description, etc.) are synchronised both ways;

  • Deletion of events is also synchronised between applications.

Important: updating events from the calendar in FlyMeet AI is available only if you are the event organiser. Otherwise, the update will not be performed, when trying to update you will receive a message in the bot about the inability to perform the operation.

Create and modify events in FlyMeet AI

  1. Create a new event or modify an existing event in the FlyMeet AI app.

  2. The event will automatically appear in your Apple Calendar in your FlyMeet calendar.

  3. All changes will be reflected in Apple Calendar within seconds.

Create and change events in Apple Calendar

  1. Open the FlyMeet calendar in the Apple Calendar app;

  2. Create a new event or modify an existing event in this calendar;

  3. The event will automatically synchronise with FlyMeet AI;

  4. All changes will be reflected in the FlyMeet AI app within seconds.

Important: for correct operation of two-way synchronisation, create and modify events only in the ‘FlyMeet’ calendar. Events from other calendars will be taken into account only when calculating free slots, but will not be synchronised with FlyMeet AI.

Conclusion

Congratulations! Your FlyMeet AI account has now been successfully integrated with Apple Calendar and two-way synchronisation is now set up. Your events will automatically synchronise between FlyMeet AI and Apple Calendar, allowing you to manage your schedule efficiently.
